‘Por
Amor en el
Caserío’
Written and Directed by Antonio Morales.
This play is
inspired in the timeless musical classic ‘West Side Story’. Taking place
in Lloréns Torres, the play has two antagonists, Mongol
and Papote, two enemies, drug dealers, that plan
everything they can to get rid of the other… Mongol’s
smart and lovely sister Crystal (protagonist) recently got accepted
into the University of Puerto Rico (UPR)… meanwhile,
Papote’s humble cousin Angelo (protagonist), is just
moving to Lloréns Torres with his aunty and cousin after
his mom’s death in his natural countryside home.
Angelo and Crystal meet and fall in love, without
realizing the harsh consequences of their romance. The
war gets heated up and it’s when all the big problems
continue. Crystal and Angelo must do everything in their
power to stop their drug dealing relatives and bring
peace back to the community
they once called ‘home’. |
